What is Black Cohosh?

Black cohosh is a tall perennial plant and was first used by Native Americans as a traditional folk remedy for women’s health conditions. The parts of the plants that are used medicinally are the roots or the rhizomes (underground stems.) Now black cohosh is the most widely used and thoroughly studied herbal extract for the treatment of menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings. It has been used in Europe for over 50 years.

Each tablet contains cimicifuga rhiz extract equivalent to 20mg root and rhizome.
